Tommy the Flower Child ...um ..Dog

This is what greeted me this morning when I looked out of the kitchen window.

Poor baby. He must have gone right into the bushes along our back fence. He often has the odd flower or two, from chasing little Java who escapes to the back of those bushes. But I’ve never seen him like this! And he seemed so sad. Sarah was still asleep, and Moshe was on calls. So I had to get the brush and do what I could, using my left hand. Not a bad job, either, if I say so myself. And he seemed so thankful. He licked my hand, and sat there quietly while I brushed his long ears, and his feet, and his face. His tail – well, I never realized how things could get buried so deep in that tail!

Poor puppy!

Poor puppy!

Not a happy boy. Pretty. Just not happy.

I wonder if that’s the source of his itching? Maybe he’s allergic to that bush? I gave him an extra Zyrtec, and brought him inside. He was so happy to come in, he followed me into my room, and sat down behind me. Poor baby!

Still puzzles me what he was doing in those bushes like that. I mean, Java hasn’t been out yet this morning, so he wasn’t chasing her. Hmm. A mystery.
