Welcome! I'm so thrilled you're here! I'm Helene, and this blog is about my sewing, dressmaking, quilting, knitting, and sometimes other craft exploits.

I hope you enjoy reading it.

And if you're interested in where my passion for sewing comes from, you might like to read my About Me page. I have a fantastic old photo of my great grandfather's factory in Europe.

======================================

I’m so pumped! I haven’t done a craft fair – as a stall holder – in several years, and I miss it! I love the atmosphere, the people, the craftiness that’s in the air, everything about it! I even love the butterfly tummy I get as it gets closer to the day. Well, maybe not so much that, but you know what I mean.

I really hope you can come. I’ll be in the Atrium. Sounds classy, right? I haven’t been to a Sisters’ Market before, and I haven’t been to the Brunswick Town Hall before, but from all accounts, it should be beautiful.

I’ll have all your favourite items for sale:

  • Nikki Mallalieu’s You Sew Girl! products – bag patterns, purse patterns & kits, purse frames, bag hardware, garment patterns, etc
  • Wiksten patterns – I still have a couple of the Tova and Tank patterns in both sizes
  • Beautiful (very) fat quarters of Ink & Spindle fabrics – if you’ve never used them for making bags or purses, you should. They’re divine! (I haven’t put them up on the site yet, I’ll do that after the market with whatever’s left)
  • Swedish Tracing Paper
  • Interfacing, wadding, fast2fuse, Pellon, S320, etc
  • zipper pulls
  • etc

[Currently, my husband Moshe will be manning the stall with me. Unless of course I find someone else who'd like to come keep me company. He's not as excited as I am about the show, I must admit. He'd rather be out riding his bike with his regular Saturday afternoon gang. Understandably.]

Well I can’t wait! Hope to see you there!
