Another Liberty eye mask

And just because I could, I made another eye mask. This one is smaller, and I feel I don’t look as “bug-eyed” with this one. As if I can tell! I found myself turning towards the mirror to see how it looks! I used two pieces of wool wadding this time. It’s so soft! Yummm!

the front - a little creased from turning it inside out, but I guess it'll settle down after I use it a bit

and the back

I’m very happy now because Moshe can watch all the TV he wants in bed (as long as the volume’s down some), and I can sleep, undisturbed! Yippee! If you’d like the pattern for this one, you can download it here.

Liberty eye mask

Last night, I was again woken by the sudden bright light coming from the TV screen. Ever noticed how the lighting changes throughout a show, going from dark, darker, light, BRIGHT, BRIGHTER, then darker… Well it’s those sudden BRIGHTER moments that wake me up. Oh, and why don’t I just switch off the TV? Because Moshe’s watching it. I borrowed a sleep mask from my daughter Sarah, and got up this morning to make one for myself. Of course I chose Liberty fabric, and I found a great easy pattern on Prudent Baby that uses Minkee, which I don’t have. However, I did find some nice black fabric that I sandwiched in along with a lovely piece of wool batting. I’d have preferred to use a prettier elastic, but only had white in my stash, so white it is. Do you like it?
