I love my little pincushion! Thank you Cherri for the fabric, here’s my first project finished. Don’t you just adore that ribbon? And the little button is from a great little bric-a-brac store I found decades ago that no longer exists, except for here, in the centre of my pinchushion.
 I’m off to Amitié for a morning with Trish and the girls. I’ll add the ribbon and buttons then. Photos later. Gotta walk the puppies before I go. Oh, and have breakfast. So little time when there’s sewing to be done!
I’m going to start with these little fabric squares from the stash Cherri from Cherri House sent me in my contest prize pack. A little smaller than my original attempt yesterday, so I’m hoping I actually end up with pincushions this time!  two sides - red/cream and black/cream In between my umpteen other projects I’m working on, I decided it’s time I made some pincushions for myself. I pulled out the Wild Thyme fabric scraps from my raw edge circle quilt, and put together these strips as a starting point:
Now to sew the strips together, and create my pincushions. I just purchased these gorgeous patterns from Leila & Ben and I’m going to make the little cap for our friend’s baby boy, and the little jacket for his soon-to-be three sister. |
