Welcome! I'm so thrilled you're here! I'm Helene, and this blog is about my sewing, dressmaking, quilting, knitting, and sometimes other craft exploits.

I totally love all your slouchy bags, so much that I had to buy the pattern and I had to buy 10 brightly coloured zips didn’t I? Can’t wait for them to arrive so I can make my own slouchy bags. Cheers Janine
Yeah, I almost was going to say “sorry”, but I won’t cos it’s fabulous! Good on you Janine! I look forward to seeing your pouches! Please send me a link. By the way, I know it’s probably obvious to seasoned sewists, but when you come to put the zipper in and the instructions show you how to construct your “sandwich”, the item that’s first on her list goes down first on the table, so the order is this…
1. put your outer fabric on the table with right side facing up
2. next, put your zipper on top with wrong side facing up
3. now put the lining, face down, on the top of your sandwich
This part isn’t terribly clear on the instructions. Hope it helps you.
