Welcome! I'm so thrilled you're here! I'm Helene, and this blog is about my sewing, dressmaking, quilting, knitting, and sometimes other craft exploits.

I hope you enjoy reading it.

And if you're interested in where my passion for sewing comes from, you might like to read my About Me page. I have a fantastic old photo of my great grandfather's factory in Europe.

Liberty Eye Mask

I had just made one eye mask in the morning, using a pattern I found on the internet, but I felt it was too big, and so I immediately made another one. This one is smaller, and I feel I don’t look as “bug-eyed” with this one. As if I can tell! I found myself turning towards the mirror to see how it looks! I used two pieces of wool wadding this time. It’s so soft! Yummm!

the front - a little creased from turning it inside out, but I guess it'll settle down after I use it a bit

and the back

I’m very happy now because Moshe can watch all the TV he wants in bed (as long as the volume’s down some), and I can sleep, undisturbed! Yippee! If you’d like the pattern for this one, you can download it here.
