No more snails, just binding

The “snails” are all done, the quilting finished, and the edges trimmed in readiness for the binding.

(not so suddenly) I'm up to the binding!

I decided to do a double-fold binding for this quilt. First time. I cut my fabric into 31/2″ strips, and machine-stitched them onto the quilt.

don't you love the fabric?

No pins, just sewing. Should be OK.

I’ll now turn and finish by hand. Can’t wait to show you the finished quilt.

DEFINITELY by hand!

Take a look at this, doesn’t it look good? Definitely going to quilt this by hand. I just love the look.

do you like the colours I've chosen in perle 8? going to quilt "snails" with these in all the circles, and diamonds in between them

And how’s this for the binding. Perfect, right?

thanks Trish, you just have such a knack for picking the perfect binding!

Here I am on the last leg of this project… I’ve begun sewing on the binding, and will have it finished tomorrow. Can’t wait!

I am really excited to report that I’ve completed all the quilting on my French Provincial Circle quilt and am off to quilting class in an hour or so to cut and sew the binding.
