my new Autumn Hand Bag
my new Autumn Hand Bag

I finally did it. I made myself a handbag! I wish I’d have written up the process, and accompanied it with photographs along the way, but I didn’t. I was just so… well, obsessed. You know those times when you get an idea into your head about making something, and then everything else that there is to do – I mean, everything else – disappears from your view, doesn’t get a look in, and with a blind obsession, I cut, and stitch, and press, and continue until the final stitch is done, and the article is completely finished. You know what I’m talking about, right? So here’s my handbag. I’m quite happy with it, for a first go. Hope you like. I used Kaffe Fassett’s fabulous fabrics, and some beautiful linen I’d bought to make table napkins for Pesach, then changed my mind.
