Gita's Chelsea Quilt
Gita's Chelsea Quilt
Kaffe Fassett's "Chelsea Quilt", designed by Pauline Smith

Back in 2009, when my daughter Gita saw that I was listing quilting projects on my blog, she thought she’d proposed a new project for me – I should make a quilt for her! Perfect! We spent some time together looking at my quilt books and magazines. Gorgeous time. Gita found a quilt design she was really excited about. It’s from Kaffe Fassett’s book, Quilts in the Sun, although we decided to make it a touch larger. Make sure you click on all the images to make them bigger so you can see everything in detail.

So, now it’s finished. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and Gita loves it too. This was so much fun, it’s one of my favourite quilts that I’ve made! Thoroughly enjoyed it, and will miss it when I give it away to Gita. Like when you finish a good book. I won’t mind though. Of course.
