Wild Thyme Quilt

I made this quilt using a tutorial by Allison on her Cluck. Cluck. Sew. website, and I used Carolyn Gavin’s Wild Thyme fabrics.

48 squares cut
48 circles cut and ready to be sewn onto the squares
don't they look pretty!
mixed up piles ready to be sewn together to form new blocks

here's a close-up showing the sideways coin stack
Hand-quilted "snail shells" in all the circles, and diamonds in between
I used 4 different coloured Perle 8 cottons for the "snails"
now for the binding
my finished quilt
I tied knots in-between the circles

  1. Your quilt is so beautiful ~ I love the fabrics you chose! I have been looking everywhere for the Birds & Seed Heads in Natural fabric, all to no avail. I found your blog when I googled the fabric name. And I’m so glad I did! Your quilt is lovely!
