a simpler, maker's life
I made this quilt using a tutorial by Allison on her Cluck. Cluck. Sew. website, and I used Carolyn Gavin’s ‘Wild Thyme‘ fabrics.
the finished back
here's a close-up showing the sideways coin stack
Hand-quilted "snail shells" in all the circles, and diamonds in between
I used 4 different coloured Perle 8 cottons for the "snails"
now for the binding
my finished quilt
I tied knots in-between the circles
LOVE IT! It turned out fabulous, I love that fabric. Thanks for sharing! -Allison
Thanks Allison, so glad you like it! It was such a great pattern to work from.
Your quilt is so beautiful ~ I love the fabrics you chose! I have been looking everywhere for the Birds & Seed Heads in Natural fabric, all to no avail. I found your blog when I googled the fabric name. And I’m so glad I did! Your quilt is lovely!
Thank you so much Patricia! I’m glad you found my site too!
