Slouchy Pouch 01

Slouchy Pouch 01

I’d finally found the perfect pattern for my niece Devorah’s make-up bag that I’d promised to make for her birthday last year! I still hadn’t found the perfect fabric, but I did have some Kaffe Fassett material that I could use to test out the pattern (and the fact that it’d match my new Autumn Hand Bag was just a coincidence!) and tried it out while I was on the MMQG Quilting Retreat. Well the pattern was fabulous, although a little challenging to follow with a couple of glasses of delicious black bubbles in me. I used Flossie Teacakes’ pattern with a lightweight fusible interfacing, and one of Zipit‘s fabulous zippers, and I think it came up quite nicely, although I think I’ll try using some heavy non-fusible interfacing for the next one I make. Here’s a pic of the inside:

the lining is also a Kaffe Fassett fabric

Pop over here to see the one I made for my niece.
